Nanotwinning project
The project consists of a number of events, which are focused on stimulation of cooperation between Ukrainian scientists and European representatives of science, education and business in two basic ways:
- Strengthening of scientific collaboration;
- Enhancement of high-tech cooperation.
Revival of old ties, deepening of existing ones and creation of new relationships with European institutes and business representatives would allow us to improve the strategic management system of the Institute of Physics (IOP) of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine (NASU). The activities of the project will resemble the work of a spider, which is weaving a net of scientific and commercial ties between Ukraine and Europe for the project concept implementation. The Partners from different countries cover different regions of the European Union (EU): France, Italy, Estonia and Greece. European partners of Nanotwinning Project, such as: Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC), the University of Torino (UNITO) and the University of Tartu (IPUT) are well recognized in the world in the field of nanotechnology. Role of European Profiles (EP) is encouragement of attraction of investments by overcoming of gap between scientific researches and industry and assistance in development of effective system of technology transfer in IOP.
The project is aimed at sustainable development of nanotechnologies in the IOP, at stimulating innovative activities of the Institute through establishing of contacts between Ukrainian and European scientists, technological innovators and business structures for technology transfer implementation and growing investments into the science.
